Ajuga reptans 'Burgundy Glow'
| (Labiatae/Laminaceae) Genus of about 40 species, usually rhizomatous perennial evergreen or semi-evergreen. Good ground cover especially in moist conditions. Found in shady habitats throughout temperate Europe and Asia. Attractive leaves are opposite and entire. Two -lipped, tubular, usually blue flowers are produced in whorls from spring to early summer. Foliage may scorch in full sun. A. reptans will tolerate poor soils. Leaves richly coloured with silver and wine. Flowers April to July. Ht 23cm/9". Plants sold in 9cm pots.
