Artemisia 'Powis Castle' AGM
| (Asteraceae/Compositae) Mugwort, Sagebrush, Wormwood. Genus of about 300 species of evergreen and deciduous shrubs and perennials found in dry fields, prairies and scrub in the N. hemisphere with a few from South Africa and W. South America. Cultivated for their alternate, pinnatisect aromatic silver leaves. Insignificant cylindrical flower heads usually terminal panicles or racemes. Cut back hard in spring. Silver foliage plant. Yellow tinged flowers in June. Sunny site, any good fertile, well drained soil. Ht 60cm/2'. Plants sold in 9cm pots.
