Lithodora diffusa 'Heavenly Blue' AGM
(Boriginaceae). Genus of about 7 species of low growing, spreading or upright, evergreen sub-shrubs and shrubs found in scrub, thickets and woodland margins and on mountains, from S. W. Europe to S. Greece, Turkey and Algeria. Grown for their 5-lobed, funnel shaped deep blue flowers in summer. Leaves are linear, lance shaped and hairy. Excellent in rock gardens. Resents root disturbance. Prostrate habit with trailing stems. Trim stems hard after flowering. Alkaline to neutral soil but L. diffusa needs acid, humus rich soil.

Rich blue star shaped flowers in late spring, early summer on this spreading hardy evergreen. Acid, humus rich soil in sun. Good for rockeries. Ht 45cm/18". Sold in 9cm pots.
