Saxifraga 'Mount Nachi'
| (Saxifragaceae). Saxifrage. Genus of about 440 species of mostly mat or cushion forming, rosetted perennials, most evergreen or semi-evergreen grown for their attractive foliage and flowers. Occur mostly from the mountains in the N. hemisphere. Varying greatly in habit and leaf form, they produce flat, star-shaped or shallowly cup shaped flowers, singly or in cymes, racemes or panicles. Excellent in rock gardens, raised beds, mixed borders, woodland gardens and alpine houses. Dwarf. White flowers red eye October. Bronze hairy leaves. Needs shade, low growing dwarf. Any reasonable soil. Ht 8"/20cm. Sold in 9cm pots.
