All Astilbes enjoy a moist site in partial shade or sun alongside a stream/bog garden. They grow to an average of 60cm/2' in ht forming superb clumps of thick foliage topped with heads of fluffy flowers usually from mid June onwards. Good for cutting and flower from June to September. From the Far East. Hardy, moisture loving. Fibrous roots. Will grow under trees if moist. Organic matter eg mushroom compost good top dressing.
