Rodgersia aesculifolia AGM



(Saxifragaceae). Genus of 6 species of rhizomatous, clump forming perennials. Occur in moist woodland and scrub and at streamsides, in the mountains of Burma, China, Korea and Japan. They have sometimes bronze tinged, basal leaves like those of the Horse Chestnut tree. Long, star shaped white flowers in fluffy panicles summer followed by dark red capsular fruits. Ideal for pond sides, bog garden in full sun or part shade. Eventual Ht 100cm/3'. Sold in 9cm pots
