Woodwardia fimbriata AGM Fern

Woodwardia fimbriata AGM Fern

(Blechnaceae). Giant Chain Fern. Genus of approximately 10 species of evergreen or deciduous terrestrial ferns found in damp, sheltered places in warm-temperate regions of Eurasia and North America. Some are creeping plants found in acid bogs. Most are large with spreading and arching usually pinnate fronds unfurling in spring. Bulbils may be produced towards the tips of the frond or on their upper surfaces. The chain-like arrangement of the sori on the undersides gives rise to the common name. Moist, shady bank, ideally near water. Eventual Ht 90cm/3'. Sold in 9cm pots
