Clematis 'Comtesse de Bouchard' AGM

Dusky pink flowers with yellow anthers summer. Vigorous. Large flowered hybrid. Deciduous. Good for climbing through trees. Cut back early spring before growth begins, to 2 buds. Eventual Ht 3m/10'. Sold in 9cm pots

Raised by Morel in France about 1900. A classical clematis which is still one of the best of this group, with bright mauve pink 12cm (5in) wide flowers. The rounded flowers have deeply textured tepals with a satin sheen, crimpled edges and blunt tips. Extremely free flowering. Ideal with roses. RHS Award of Garden Merit
