Tax Charges

We are registered for farmers rate VAT and do not therefore charge VAT on your items.

Credit Card Security

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

CREDIT CARDS. Your card MUST BE registered to your name and address.
If you pay online we do not see your card details at all and thus we cannot store them. Cards are validated by WORLDPAY. A CONFIRMATION FROM THEM IS CONFIRMATION OF YOUR ORDER. State of the art secure servers at the highest security levels available are used for all online transactions. We cannot take payment later for online orders as we never see your card details.

If your card is refused it may be due to one of the following

No one likes this, of course, but it happens. This is not our shop - it is your bank declining to make the payment requested. There are many reasons why this can happen:-

The card type may not be valid for mail order, e.g. some Electron cards.

Over-zealous security by your bank. If you have recently used the card overseas, it may be refused when you try to use it within the UK.

The card details you have given do not match those on record. You MUST enter the exact and full details which appear on the actual card, even if the delivery address is different.

Entering the wrong expiry date or security number, or leaving any address or details blank may cause refusal of the payment.

The following may also cause your bank to refuse us settlement -

Leaving boxes blank then sending the details to your bank. Going part-way through the process and then sending blank boxes is the same as sending wrong details. Your card may then be refused by your bank.
A wrong, or missed, house number
Wrong expiry date
Incorrect or missing security number
Incorrect postcode
Incorrect input of 'shared secret'

PLACING OF AN ORDER CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

We think that it is fair that once you accept plants as being good, then their care and responsibility for cultivation pass to you. We do not guarantee future growth.

Plants are living things and are subject to neglect, complacency, inclement weather, chewing things, crawling things, burrowing things, slugs, snails, rodents, pets, soil fungi, bacteria, assorted diseases, extreme temperatures, sudden freezes, poor cultivation, bad drainage, children, visitors and well-meaning gardeners.

We will provide you with a correctly-named, healthy plant in good condition. Once you are happy that we have done our part, then we think it fair to say that the rest is then up to you.

Remittance Terms

Payment before despatch on all orders.
