Alchemilla mollis



(Rosaceae). Lady's mantle. Genus of about 250 species found in meadows and light woodland, some from rocky habitats in N. temperate and arctic zones and from mountain regions in tropical Africa, India, Sri Lanka and Indonesia. Perennial with sprays of tiny greenish yellow flowers with conspicuous outer calyces in summer. Silky haired leaves. Clump forming good for borders, large rock garden or wildflower garden. Lovely with cut flower sweet peas. Sun or part shade, not boggy but any moist, humus rich soil. Can be dried. Eventual Ht 30cm/1'. Sold in 9cm pots
