Angelica gigas

(Apiaceae/Umbelliferae) Genus of 50 species of herbaceous perennials, mainly from damp woodland, meadows, fens and streambanks in the Northern hemisphere.
Unusual plant with large green leaves flowering with a purple cauliflower like head late July/August. Deep, moist soil best in sun or part shade. Eventual Ht 1.2m/4'. Sold in 9cm pots
